I'm working on behalf of a market-leading monitoring and instrumentation specialist to recruit for a Monitoring Surveyor to join their team on a major infrastructure project based in West London. This is a permanent position offering long-term development and a chance to work on one of the region's most high-profile engineering schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded surveyor who is enthusiastic about delivering precise monitoring services and playing a critical role in supporting engineering and construction operations.

The Role

In this position, you will support Project and Operations Managers in the supply and installation of survey instrumentation, data collection, and presentation. You'll contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of monitoring services while liaising with clients and managing site-based data systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collection, processing, and interpretation of monitoring survey data
  • AutoCAD drafting and selection of appropriate methodologies
  • Instrument installation and regular reporting to clients
  • Ensuring safe working practices on site
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  • Liaising with design, estimation, and site teams to optimise operations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in land surveying, monitoring, or geomatics
  • Strong AutoCAD and Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and effective fault-finding skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities
  • Full UK driving licence and CSCS card

Desirable

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, Geotechnics, or a related field
  • Experience with Leica GeoMos, StarNet, or similar software
  • London Underground Safety Training / Sentinel card
