TRIbuild Solutions is recruiting an experienced MEP Passive Fire Protection Engineer to join a major infrastructure project delivering multiple assets across London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with a strong passive fire protection background to take ownership of the delivery of works across one of several major assets on a live construction programme.

The Role

As MEP Passive Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of passive fire protection works on multiple assets, reporting to the MEP Delivery Manager. You will ensure a quality product is delivered safely, sustainably, and in line with the contract programme, working collaboratively with subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage on Health, Safety and Environmental matters, ensuring works are planned and executed in line with statutory and project requirements.
  • Manage quality risks across your works, including installation and commissioning inspections per the Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Engage with subcontractors to progress design in line with specification, ensuring proposals are certifiable.
  • Develop subcontract design and construction methodology, and prepare resourcing, procurement, consents and prestart documentation.
  • Interface with the Asset Lead, MEP Delivery Manager, Design, Engineering and QA teams to ensure integration into the main programme.
  • Liaise externally with the client, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed site-specific programmes, assess productivity, and report to the Project Manager and QS department.
  • Maintain a full and accurate daily site diary, including variations, subcontractor attendance, and key discussions.
  • Identify and manage MEP opportunities and efficiencies across assets.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering Passive Fire Protection systems, including design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
  • A professional qualification or degree (or equivalent) in Civil, Electrical or Fire Engineering.
  • Sound knowledge of construction techniques, sequencing and best practice.
  • Experience working to and implementing NEC construction contracts.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, while collaborating effectively with integrated teams and external stakeholders.
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Revit, Navisworks).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to audience.
  • Relevant CSCS card.
  • SMSTS / SSSTS.
