Site Engineer | Shell and Core Commercial Build
Location: North West London, Staples Corner
I am working with a leading main contractor delivering a pure shell and core commercial build at Staples Corner. The project is due to commence in approximately 2 months and they are now looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer to join the team ahead of site start.
This is a strong opportunity to secure a flagship project from the outset and play a key role in driving engineering quality and technical compliance.
The Role
You will take responsibility for managing QA processes, completing as built records and ensuring all engineering works delivered by the supply chain are technically correct and compliant with specification. Working closely with the Construction and Project Management teams, you will oversee setting out, dimensional control and quality assurance across the build.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing QA documentation and handover packs
- Producing accurate as built drawings and records
- Checking setting out and dimensional control
- Ensuring subcontractor engineering works meet specification
- Reviewing drawings and raising RFIs where required
- Supporting Temporary Works coordination
- Implementing ITPs and inspection regimes
- Raising NCRs and carrying out quality inspections
- Maintaining site records and KPI data
- Promoting strong health and safety standards
What They Are Looking For:
- Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years site engineering experience on commercial or industrial builds
- Strong CAD capability and IT literacy
- Proven QA and handover experience
- Detail focused and methodical approach
- Confident communicator with supply chain partners
