A major hydroelectric infrastructure project in Inverness, Scotland requires a Site Agent to manage a defined package or section of works on a large and technically complex civil engineering programme. This is a permanent role with a Tier 1 contractor, offering real responsibility on a landmark scheme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for safe delivery of an allocated section or package of works on programme and to budget
  • Lead a site team including Section Foremen, Site Engineers and subcontractors
  • Prepare and update short-term programmes and look-ahead schedules
  • Attend and chair progress meetings, reporting to the Construction Manager and Project Manager
  • Manage commercial activity within your section, raising early warnings and supporting compensation events
  • Coordinate plant, labour and materials resources effectively
  • Drive a proactive safety and quality culture within your team

What You Will Need

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent or Project Manager on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
  • SMSTS qualified
  • Black CSCS card
  • Strong programme management and leadership skills
  • Commercial awareness with NEC contract experience preferred
  • Experience on water, energy or hydro infrastructure is advantageous
