I am supporting a Tier One contractor delivering a major long term nuclear civils programme in Cumbria. The project includes complex civil engineering, reinforced concrete structures, earthworks and multi discipline interfaces.
We are looking for a Buyer who can support procurement activity across a wide range of construction materials, subcontract packages and specialist suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity to develop within a high performing commercial and delivery environment.
Role overview
- Manage procurement activities across multiple work streams
- Source materials and services aligned to project requirements
- Support purchasing, tendering and supplier negotiation
- Maintain compliance with procurement governance standards
- Work with commercial, engineering and logistics teams
- Monitor supplier performance and cost control
What we are looking for
- Procurement experience within civil engineering or construction
- Strong commercial understanding and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers across a complex delivery environment
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Due to the nature of the programme, you must be able to obtain SC clearance.
Package
Salary £40,000 to £45,000 plus car allowance £5,060.
