An opportunity to join a rapidly growing specialist engineering company, based in west Wales. We are looking for a motivated, skilled engineer, with knowledge of Tribology, to join Ingram Tribology Ltd. At Ingram Tribology, we provide testing, training, and support services in the fields of Tribology and Lubrication sciences. We work with many clients from all over the world – helping to solve complex machine issues and develop new lubricants/coatings and material technologies. The candidate will get exposure to a broad range of engineering projects. Working as part of a small team, the candidate should be prepared for varied day-to-day tasks, working at the cutting edge of lubrication and interfacial engineering sciences.

Job responsibilities:

  • Contribute specialist knowledge to all consultancy projects
  • Contribute to all internal development projects
  • Running multiple tribological test rigs, analysing data, communicating with clients
  • Design test methods and test campaigns
  • Conduct advanced engineering calculations and modelling
  • Design and co-present educational courses

Job skills & qualifications:

  • Masters degree or PhD in Engineering, Chemistry or related sciences
  • Knowledge and experience of Tribology and material science preferred
  • Knowledge of mechanical design, state of the art materials and DAQ systems preferred
  • Must be personable, able to communicate complex problems simply, able to prepare quality reports and presentations
