Salary: £40,000 - £46,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8:30am - 5:00pm). Hybrid working supported. Flexibility considered. Occasional out-of-hours work may be required.

We are seeking a confident and proactive Paraplanner to support our Financial Planners and play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a high-quality client service within a dynamic and expanding team.

About Us:

We are a newly established financial planning firm offering comprehensive advice across all areas of personal finance. Although part of a large network, we operate as a small and growing team based just outside of Cambridge. We pride ourselves on professionalism, integrity, and a client-first approach. This role offers the chance to grow with the business and contribute directly to its continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input client data into financial planning software and back-office systems
  • Conduct research using third-party software and prepare compliant reports
  • Create suitability letters for both new business and ongoing reviews
  • Deliver financial modelling scenarios and cashflow plans
  • Prepare review documents and maintain accurate client files
  • Produce illustrations and application packs for Financial Planners
  • Liaise directly with clients and attend meetings where required
  • Sit on the Due Diligence panel and contribute to strategy development
  • Ensure all compliance and regulatory standards are met

About You:

You will be:

  • Organised, detail-oriented, and reliable
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work and process improvement
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal
  • Able to manage your workload in a dynamic, client-focused environment

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an independent paraplanning role
  • Diploma qualified (Level 4) with ambition to continue development
  • Strong knowledge of pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning
  • Solid understanding of CGT, IHT, Trusts, and pension transfer considerations
  • Familiarity with cashflow modelling tools and systems
  • Experience working with esoteric products such as VCTs, EIS, and structured products
  • Ability to develop and implement internal policies and procedures
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
