Location: Buxton, Derbyshire, SK17 9RZ
Salary: From £25,636.96 (£12.25 per hour) to £32,315.12 (£15.44 per hour), DOE + Benefits!
Contract: Full time, permanent
Shifts: Shift work to support a 24/7 operation

About the role – Warehouse Operative

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the safe movement and supply of palletised goods to the production area and loading and unloading of vehicles to site, to ensure we deliver ‘best in class’ products to our Customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures, BRC Standards and Saica work instructions and procedures
• Producing documentation using computerised systems and held hand scanners
• Ensuring the efficient supply of raw products to the relevant areas of production
• Dealing with incoming and outgoing stock and ensure efficient storage and movement of work in progress
• Ensuring that pre-checks on pallet handling equipment are carried out prior to use and that any issues or maintenance requirements are reported
• Ensuring Team Leader is kept informed of any issues as and when they arise.
• Undertaking and accurately complete all necessary warehouse/transport paperwork.
• Following best practice and achieve departmental procedural compliance
• Keeping all working area’s clean and tidy
• Strive for continuous improvement in the working practises
• Undertaking ad hoc tasks as directed by the Team leader or management at the Company’s discretion
• Loading and unloading vehicles

In order to be successful in this role you must have:

• Valid and up-to-date FLT licences (Reach and Counterbalance)
• Previous knowledge of warehouse /stores or similar
• Relevant work experience in a manufacturing role.
• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and the capacity to work to demanding deadlines.
• Be keen to learn and have a flexible attitude.
• Have a high level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrate personal accountability and have a ‘right first time’ approach.
