Concrete Repairs Limited (CRL) has been setting the standard in the construction industry for over 65 years. We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee and manage smaller projects or sections of larger projects within our Anglian Water and Severn Trent Water Frameworks.
This role requires someone with clean water experience, a background in water frameworks, and experience working in service reservoirs. Preferably, you will hold an EUSR card and confined spaces certification.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality, safety, stakeholder relationships, and programming requirements, while also supporting the Contracts/Project Manager on contractual and commercial matters.
In addition to this as our Site Manager you will be responsible for:
- Managing sites to achieve financial, safety, quality, and environmental targets.
- Pre-start planning and liaison with estimators.
- Managing site staff, operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Development of PSHEQP, method statements, risk assessments, and other site instructions.
- Delegating duties to engineering and site staff.
- Approving and issuing orders and instructions from Clients to the Supply Chain.
- Liaising and meeting with clients, consulting engineers, surveyors, and subcontractors.
- Ensuring compliance with company SHEQ procedures.
- Planning, programming, and resourcing site activities.
- Maintaining accurate site records, including measurement sheets, diaries, labour returns, and as-built drawings.
- Implementing the company’s quality procedures and ensuring all QC testing and records are completed.
- Providing technical advice to site staff and feedback to estimators on outputs.
- Managing site budgets and monitoring costs.
- Identifying, evaluating, and managing claims and variations.
- Supporting HR & Training with recruitment, onboarding, and development of operatives.
- Managing and authorising operatives’ holidays, absences, and expenses.
- Communicating effectively with regional management and the administration team.
- Assisting with the preparation of bids, PQQs, and other presentations as required.
- Maintaining a photographic record of site activities.
- Encouraging innovation and value-driven site management.
- Motivating, coaching, and mentoring operatives.
In order to be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience managing construction sites in a similar role.
- Experience working within water frameworks and service reservoirs.
- An understanding of current contract forms, acts & legislation (NEC / JCT).
- A Working knowledge of CDM Regulations & Employment legislation.
- SHEQ procedures within a construction environment.
- Excellent written and verbal reporting skills.
- Financial acumen and budgeting expertise.
- Proficiency in planning and programming.
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, supply chain, and colleagues.
- Ability to manage and mentor operational team members.
- SMSTS certification.
- CSCS Gold / Black Card.
- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a Civil Engineering / Construction-related discipline (achieved or working towards).
- Full UK Driver’s Licence.
- EUSR card and confined spaces certification (preferred).
