Mechanical Engineer – The Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Mechanical Engineer to join our workshop team!

Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager (or Assistant Workshop Manager in their absence), you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our fleet. This position is ideal for an experienced PSV, HGV, or light vehicle engineer who values safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities;

Protect the Company's Operator Licence at all times.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections in line with Company standards and perform repairs to the highest quality.
Diagnose and address vehicle faults using basic diagnostic equipment.
Work safely in accordance with all Health & Safety regulations.
Address vehicle issues promptly, as directed by the Workshop Manager.
Communicate additional faults and repair needs to the Manager.
Ensure completion of wheel nut checks and related documentation.

Key Skills and Experience;

Proven experience in PSV, HGV, or light vehicle maintenance.
Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and repair techniques.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Awareness of health and safety procedures in a workshop environment.
