Job Description Quantity Surveyor \Salary: Up to £60k depending on experience, plus company car or £6k car allowance Contract: Full time, Permanent \With increasing investment in water, wastewater, and environmental infrastructure, we're growing fast - and we're looking for passionate people to grow with us \n We deliver specialist and sustainable, water asset and infrastructure solutions within the water, wastewater and environment sectors. \We're looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team in Derby. \You will be responsible for performing all commercial management duties on construction contracts from Pre-construction through the Construction Phase to Final Account and Certificate. \n Price work items from first principles, building up Rates and Activities using labour, materials, and plant costs. \n Liaise with subcontractors to obtain competitive prices for specialist works. \n Carry out thorough financial negotiations as required in order to secure client contracts. \n Work with the project delivery team, prepare a realistic budget for schemes in order to maximise revenue, profit and reputation. \n Prepare, submit and agree monthly interim valuations and final accounts to ensure timely processing of client invoicing and payment applications. \n Manage change and identify, prepare, submit and agree early warning notices and compensation events as required under NEC and other contracts. \n Compile monthly reconciliations and work in progress assessments for management accounts. \Relevant degree in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, construction related discipline, or significant work experience. \n Experience of pricing works to NEC contracts. \n Possess strong IT skills, in particular MS Excel \n Full driving licence \Holidays \You will receive 24 days' paid holiday per annum, rising to 25 after two years' service. \n Options to buy five extra days using the Holiday Scheme. \n Volunteering day - up to two days per year to contribute to our local communities. \n Enhanced occupational maternity leave policy.
