About the Role
We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and hardworking housekeeper to help keep our busy family home running smoothly. Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are available, and we are happy to discuss a working pattern that suits both parties. As this is a family home, our schedule can occasionally change due to family commitments. We are therefore looking for someone who is flexible and able to adapt when needed. In general, the role requires availability for a mixture of morning/afternoon and evening hours.
Main Duties
- Laundry and ironing
- General household cleaning, including:
- Kitchens
- Bathrooms
- Floors
- Windows
- Making beds
- Basic vegetable preparation and general kitchen assistance
- Optional good weather tasks, including:
- Sweeping the driveway
- Light gardening
- Occasional DIY tasks
- Additional hours may be available for outdoor work.
Day Shifts
- Three to five shifts per week (Monday to Friday)
- Usually includes a longer shift on Fridays
- Individual shifts range from 2-5 hours
- Annual leave should be taken during school holidays
- Occasional Sunday morning shifts may also be available.
Evening Shifts
- Two to four evenings per week
- Usually includes a longer Friday evening shift
- Most shifts are 2-3 hours
- Friday evenings are typically 4-5 hours
- Shifts generally finish by 8:00-9:00 pm, with later finishes on Fridays
- Annual leave should be taken during school holidays

- Previous housekeeping experience
- A flexible approach to their working day
- A positive, energetic, and thorough work ethic
- Excellent attention to detail
- Fluent spoken English
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- The confidence to ask questions and follow instructions
- An honest, trustworthy, and reliable nature
- A non-smoking lifestyle
- A full driving licence/own transport or live within easy travelling distance of West Cliff, Bournemouth
