The Role
As an HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across a variety of commercial environments including offices, schools, hospitals, retail units, and industrial facilities. This is a hands-on, field-based role requiring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing, servicing, and maintaining HVAC systems including air conditioning, ventilation, and heating equipment
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs
- Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Ensuring all work complies with current regulations and company procedures
- Completing service reports, job sheets, and compliance documentation
- Responding to breakdowns and emergency callouts
- Liaising with site managers, clients, and other trades
- Maintaining company vehicle, tools, and equipment
- Participating in ongoing training and development
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC Engineer
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and controls
- Relevant HVAC / F Gas qualifications
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in commercial or industrial environments
- Knowledge of BMS systems
- CSCS card or equivalent
- Manufacturer specific training certifications
