We are looking for a dedicated NVQ Assessor to join our growing team at Phoenix Health and Safety, part of Wilmington Plc. As we continue to expand, we need an experienced professional to assess and support learners working towards their Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

Job Purpose, Tasks and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Assessing the Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Conducting Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) on other assessors’ work.
- Providing ongoing support to delegates, ensuring they complete their qualification in a timely manner.
- Managing a delegate-led caseload, adapting to fluctuating workloads as learners enrol at different times.
- Conducting regular progress reviews and meetings with delegates over an 18-month course duration.
- Reviewing assessments within a 10-day SLA and responding to learner queries within a 3-day SLA.
- Maintaining accurate records of delegate progress.
- Ensuring quality standards are met across all assessments.
- Collaborating with the NVQ Manager to address any concerns or improvements.
- Staying up to date with industry developments and best practices.
- Building strong relationships with delegates, offering guidance and support throughout their learning journey.
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- One of the following assessor qualifications: A1 Assessor Award, Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment or Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement
- CertIOSH status.
- A Level 6 Health and Safety qualification.
- Experience in hands-on health and safety management.
- Proficiency in using IT systems and learning management software.
- An IQA Qualification or willingness to work towards it.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and critical thinking skills.
- The ability to balance assessment deadlines with ongoing delegate support.
