As Head of Business Development and Sales at DEKRA Automotive, your day is fast‑paced and commercially driven, shaping and executing the UK’s sales and marketing strategy, driving a strong pipeline, and leading a high‑performing team to exceed ambitious revenue targets. You balance strategic oversight with hands‑on leadership, from strengthening key global and strategic client relationships to coaching your team, refining Salesforce‑led processes, and identifying new markets, sectors, and service opportunities. What You’ll Do:
- Lead and execute the UK sales and marketing strategy, driving pipeline growth and delivering against ambitious revenue targets.
- Own and optimise the sales lifecycle, including CRM (Salesforce), forecasting, reporting, and performance metrics.
- Build, manage, and develop a high‑performing, scalable Business Development and Sales team.
- Grow and manage key strategic client relationships while collaborating with global teams to win and deliver new business.
- Identify and unlock new market sectors, services, and cross‑selling opportunities to expand DEKRA’s market presence.
What You’ll Bring:
- 10+ years’ experience in technical sales, including leading and developing high‑performing sales teams.
- Proven track record of building and delivering a sustainable £5M-£10M+ sales pipeline and achieving revenue growth.
- Strong experience in CRM/ERP systems (e.g. Salesforce, SAP) and managing structured sales processes and forecasting.
- Demonstrated success in consultative selling, solving complex customer challenges through innovative solutions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills across all organisational levels.
Nice to Have:
- Experience developing and launching new products or services in evolving or emerging markets.
- Background in managing a wide range of contract values (£10k-£10M) and complex commercial arrangements.
- International exposure, with the ability to collaborate across global teams and cultures.
- Additional language skills (e.g. French or German).
