Location: Alton GU34 2QR

Salary: £31,000-£38,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications

Contract: Permanent, Full time

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to join our team in a dynamic, hands‑on role that spans the full procurement lifecycle from sourcing and supplier selection through to order placement, supplier management, and continuous improvement. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys both the strategic and operational aspects of procurement, working closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure a resilient, cost‑effective, and high‑performing supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end‑to‑end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiations, and purchase order placement
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, including regular reviews and supplier visits
  • Ensure continuity of supply, working closely with planning and operations to meet business requirements
  • Lead or support commercial negotiations to deliver cost savings and value improvements
  • Monitor supplier performance across quality, cost, and delivery, driving improvement where required
  • Investigate and resolve supply and quality issues, working collaboratively with suppliers
  • Support new product development through early supplier engagement and setting up new products and bill of materials
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and efficiency gains
  • Keep up to date with market trends and supply risks, implementing mitigation plans where needed

Key Skills, Experience and Attributes:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a procurement or buying role
  • Strong background in supplier management, sourcing, and purchasing
  • Experience working within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem‑solving ability
  • Willingness to engage with suppliers, including site visits where required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • CIPS qualification (or working towards it)
