What you’ll do…
- Lead the floor during service, ensuring smooth coordination between restaurant, bar, and grab-and-go.
- Uphold and enforce high standards of hospitality, presentation, and service quality.
- Support team during busy periods, leading by example and maintaining a strong presence on the floor.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest queries and complaints, escalating when necessary.
- Work closely with the host team to ensure efficient seating, reservation management, and guest flow.
- Train new and existing staff on service steps, upselling, standards, menu knowledge, and guest engagement.
- Conduct refresh training sessions to ensure consistency across all team members.
- Mentor and support junior staff, encouraging a positive team culture and a development-focused environment.
- Conduct on-shift coaching to reinforce expectations.
- Create, publish, and manage rotas that ensure correct staffing levels while maintaining labour efficiency.
- Support daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring all outlets are ready for service.
- Place operational orders for equipment, disposables, cleaning supplies, and FOH essentials.
- Monitor stock levels, manage shortages, and report issues to the F&B Assistant Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and health & safety standards.
- Support shift briefings, ensuring clear communication of priorities and standards.
- Provide constructive feedback to staff and assist the F&B Assistant Manager in performance reviews.
- Help maintain a positive working environment, fostering teamwork and professionalism.
- Support in maintaining operational documentation, incident logs, and basic financial summaries (e.g., shift notes).
- Ensure that standards, policies, and procedures are followed at all times.

- Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff.
- Strong FOH operational experience within a busy restaurant or bar environment.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and people-management skills.
- Ability to remain calm, organised, and solution-focused during peak periods.
- Familiarity with reservation and POS systems (e.g., SevenRooms, Micros and Knowcross).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
