We’re on the lookout for an F&B Assistant Manager to become part of our TRIBE community as we continue to make waves in London. Our first TRIBE hotel launched in summer 2022, and we’re redefining what hospitality looks like for a new generation of travellers. Feels Like June, our California‑inspired restaurant, brings bright flavours, summer vibes, and a West Coast‑meets‑Europe flair. It’s a space where hotel guests and locals come together—whether it’s breakfast, dinner, cocktails, or simply to settle in with a laptop in our lounge.
We are looking for someone curious, caring, and conscious. Your attitude will help shape the TRIBE experience, defined by authenticity and by an obsession with making life seamless and stress‑free for our guests. You’ll play a key role in creating moments that feel effortless yet unforgettable.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and support daily operations across the restaurant, bar, and Grab&Go, with particular focus on the bar to ensure smooth, profitable, and high‑quality service, including occasional drink mixing or table service.
- Fully responsible for cocktail creation, seasonal drink innovation, and maintaining a competitive, on‑trending beverage offering, keeping all recipes documentation.
- Recruit, train, coach, and when necessary, manage performance or exit staff. Ensure all team members deliver service excellence.
- Manage labour costs, control waste, oversee ordering, stock rotation, and inventory accuracy to support financial targets.
- Maintain visual standards, cleanliness, health & safety and operational procedures across all areas, including storages.
- Oversee nightly accounting, reporting, schedules, and any required operational documentation.
- Meet sales and profitability targets.
- Maintain budget and monitor costs.
- Initiate and maintain vendor relationships, communicating with vendors to assure the appropriate number of products are on hand for forecasted demand.
- Use point‑of‑sale tracking technology and bar and restaurant management platforms to ensure consistent, high‑quality beverages are served to customers.
- Deal with customer feedback and provide adequate solutions to complaints.
Qualifications:
- Extensive Food & Beverage knowledge – able to confidently recall ingredients and dishes to guide guests and support the team.
- Tech‑savvy – experience with restaurant management platforms such as SevenRooms and Knowcross.
- Strong leadership and people skills – inspire, motivate, and lead by example.
- Financial acumen – sharp budgeting and cost‑control capabilities.
- Commercial awareness – understand market trends and guest expectations to drive success.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills – collaborate effectively across all departments.
- Problem‑solving mindset – stay calm and find solutions quickly.
- Conflict resolution skills – ability to de‑escalate tense situations with professionalism and empathy.
