Tribe is seeking a dynamic Studio Manager + Teacher to join our team in Edinburgh. With a focus on fostering wellness and community through yoga and fitness, Tribe Yoga is dedicated to creating an environment that inspires and empowers. With our wonderful Tribe New Town Manager going on Maternity leave, we are on the hunt for who embodies our values and has a strong background managing and teaching (Yoga, barre, Pilates, Reformer or all four!) in the fitness industry. This is a temporary position with the potential for extension to permanent with company growth.
As the Studio Manager, you will play a crucial role in the overall success of our Edinburgh New Town studio. You will not only oversee the day-to-day operations but also lead a team dedicated to providing exceptional service and a welcoming community atmosphere. This position requires a leader who can seamlessly integrate operational excellence with a passion for fitness and community building.
What your workday looks like:
Take full ownership of the studio, ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently, including scheduling, maintenance, and studio cleanliness.
Lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of excellence, support, and community among staff members.
Act as the face of the studio, building relationships with members and enhancing Tribe Yoga\'s community presence.
Strategically manage staffing, including forecasting needs, recruitment, training, and performance management.
Teach 10 classes per week across Tribe locations
Oversee partner and supplier relationships, managing studio expenses and ensuring a cost-effective operation.
Collaborate with the marketing team to support the execution of events and promotional activities.
Organize and implement staff training programs, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.
Drive customer service and team improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
Your Qualifications:
Demonstrated passion for fitness, wellness, and community building.
You hold the relevant teacher training and have at least of 200hrs of in-studio experience
Proven leadership skills with a minimum of 2 years\' experience managing a team in the fitness industry.
Operational management experience, including staff recruitment and training.
Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operational procedures within a fitness or hospitality setting.
Exceptional organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Creative thinker with an ability to drive improvements and innovate.
Excellent communication skills in English
