Sales Executive / Account Manager IT Solutions Remote (UK-wide) | £35,000 - £60,000 base + uncapped commission

My client is a fast-growing, award-winning VAR with £30m+ turnover last year and a clear trajectory toward the £50m mark. They specialise in delivering hardware, software, cloud, and security solutions to corporate and public sector clients, backed by strong vendor relationships and a reputation for exceptional service.

You MUST have 5 years sales experience in the IT & Telecoms VAR sector to be considered for the role.

The Opportunity

My client is expanding their sales team and looking for experienced Sales Executives/Account Managers from small to mid-sized VARs (ideally sub-£50m) who can bring transferable, transactional business and hit the ground running. This role is 100% remote, with only three in-person events per year. It suits someone mature, disciplined, and self-motivated, someone who thrives in a remote environment and values the autonomy it brings.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Growing and managing your own portfolio of corporate customers
  • Bringing across transferable, transactional business and expanding it
  • Developing new business within SMB, mid-market, and non-framework public sector
  • Working closely with vendors and distributors to build competitive solutions
  • Producing quotes, proposals, and commercial documentation
  • Maintaining accurate pipeline, forecasting, and CRM hygiene
  • Positioning the business's full portfolio, including hardware, software, cloud, and security
  • Supporting the growth into public sector as they prepare to tender for TePAS3 next year

Who We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a VAR sales or account management role
  • Currently employed and able to demonstrate ownership of customer relationships
  • Proven track record of delivering transactional GP (not long-cycle managed services)
  • Experience selling into corporate customers or public sector accounts that do not require framework access
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to win, grow, and retain accounts
  • Comfortable working fully remotely with a disciplined, self-driven approach
  • Professional, credible, and able to represent Highgate with integrity

Who This Role Is Not For

To save everyone time, this role is not suitable for candidates coming from:

  • MSPs or professional services-led businesses
  • Environments with long sales cycles
  • Roles where the customer cannot realistically move or transact quickly
  • Candidates without transferable business or without ownership of their accounts

Salary & Commission

£35,000 - £60,000 base depending on experience and expected GP

Commission: 10% on the first £15k GP per month, 25% uncapped on all GP above that. No threshold for the first 6 months, commission paid at 25% from pound one. This structure is designed to reward high performers and accelerate early success.
