As part of our continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Head of Digital to lead our digital team, shape strategic direction and play a key role in the next phase of agency growth.

This is a senior leadership role for an experienced digital marketer with strong agency credentials and a passion for delivering exceptional results. You will oversee digital strategy across a portfolio of retail and ecommerce clients, lead a multidisciplinary team, and work alongside the senior leadership team to drive both client success and agency growth.

The successful candidate will combine commercial acumen, strategic thinking and leadership skills with a deep understanding of the digital marketing landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Define and lead the agency's digital marketing vision and strategy.
    • Ensure best-in-class delivery across SEO, Paid Media, CRM, Content and Analytics.
    • Identify emerging opportunities, technologies and trends that enhance client performance.
    • Drive innovation, automation and AI adoption across the agency.
  • Client Leadership
    • Act as senior strategic lead for key client accounts.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
    • Lead strategic planning sessions, performance reviews and growth discussions.
    • Ensure client objectives are translated into measurable digital outcomes.
  • Team Management & Development
    • Lead, mentor and develop a team of digital specialists.
    • Create a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Support recruitment, onboarding and professional development.
    • Establish clear objectives and progression pathways for team members.
  • Commercial Growth
    • Support agency growth through client retention, upselling and new business activity.
    • Contribute to proposals, pitches and strategic presentations.
    • Monitor profitability and resource allocation across client accounts.
    • Work closely with the leadership team to achieve revenue targets.
  • Performance & Analytics
    • Oversee reporting frameworks and measurement strategies.
    • Ensure all recommendations are driven by data and commercial insight.
    • Monitor channel performance and identify opportunities for optimisation.
    • Champion a culture of testing, learning and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
  • Essential
    • 8+ years' experience in digital marketing, including agency experience
    • Proven experience leading high-performing digital teams
    • Strong understanding of: SEO, Paid Search, Paid Social, CRM & Email Marketing, Analytics & Attribution, Conversion Rate Optimisation
    • Experience managing senior client relationships
    • Strong commercial awareness and strategic planning skills
    • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Desirable
    • Experience working with retail, ecommerce or consumer brands
    • Knowledge of Shopify, Magento or other ecommerce platforms
    • Experience implementing AI and automation within marketing teams
    • Previous responsibility for departmental budgets or P&L
