The Opportunity
Our client, a specialist search firm, is looking to hire a Consultant to lead senior-level Marketing hires. This role exists because their clients don’t need recruiters — they need advisors. Marketing leadership hires are high-stakes, nuanced, and rarely solved through traditional recruitment methods. You’ll work on retained and high-value searches, partnering with founders, CMOs, and boards to deliver senior Marketing talent that genuinely moves the business forward. If you’re currently recruiting marketing roles and want to operate at a more strategic, search-led level, this role is designed for that step up.
The Role
- Deliver end-to-end senior Marketing searches (Head of, Director, VP, CMO)
- Partner with senior stakeholders to define role scope, success criteria, and search strategy
- Lead market mapping and talent identification at leadership level
- Run discreet, high-touch candidate processes
- Build long-term client and candidate relationships at senior level
- Contribute to the growth of the Marketing practice within the firm
This is search work — not volume recruitment.
What Sets This Firm Apart
- Genuine search-led model (retained and retained-style work)
- High trust and autonomy for Consultants
- Focus on quality, depth, and long-term partnerships
- London or remote working
- Clear progression into Senior Consultant / Principal pathways
- Low-ego, intellectually rigorous culture
- Consultants are trusted to lead searches properly — not pushed into transactional behaviour.
Who They’re Looking For
- Experience in recruitment or executive search
- Non-negotiable: experience recruiting Marketing roles
- Exposure to senior or leadership-level hires is strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and confidential searches
- Consultative, commercially aware, and quality-driven
- This is not a junior or delivery-only role.
What’s On Offer
- £30,000 – £50,000 base salary (DOE)
- Uncapped commission
- London or remote flexibility
- Clear progression and practice ownership
- Supportive, experienced leadership
