As Media Planning Director, you will lead the end-to-end media planning and strategy process for key B2B clients. You will be responsible for shaping media strategies that drive measurable results, managing planning teams, and ensuring campaigns run on time and on budget. You will work cross-functionally with accounts, analytics, and creative teams to deliver media plans that align with client goals and business KPIs.
This role is hybrid (office + remote working) based in London, offering flexibility and collaboration in equal measure.
Strategic Leadership- Develop and lead media planning strategies tailored to B2B audiences.
- Translate client business objectives into effective, measurable media plans.
- Identify opportunities across channels including digital, programmatic, social, search, OOH, and traditional media.
- Mentor and lead a team of media planners and buyers.
- Review, guide, and quality-check planning deliverables.
- Support team development, performance reviews, and career growth.
- Act as a senior point of contact for key clients.
- Present media strategies, plans, and performance insights confidently.
- Build strong client relationships through proactive thinking and trusted expertise.
- Oversee media buying and planning operations ensuring best audience reach and ROI.
- Collaborate with analytics to refine targeting and measurement frameworks.
- Manage agency resources and vendor relationships.
- Ensure campaign performance insights are tracked, analyzed, and shared.
- Guide forecasting, budgeting, and optimisation decisions.
5+ years in media planning and strategy (agency experience preferred, especially in B2B). Strong understanding of digital and traditional media channels. Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills. Proven experience managing and developing teams. Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics tools to shape strategy. Experience in hybrid / cross-channel media strategy. Familiarity with Martech and programmatic platforms. Exposure to ROI forecasting and media budgeting frameworks.
