We're looking for an experienced SEO Manager to lead organic search strategy across a portfolio of ecommerce and lead generation clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an agency environment, enjoys working across multiple industries, and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
You'll be responsible for planning and executing SEO campaigns that drive measurable growth in traffic, rankings, revenue, and leads. Working closely with content, development, paid media, and client services teams, you'll help clients improve visibility across search engines while maintaining strong client relationships and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities- SEO Strategy & Delivery
- Develop and execute SEO strategies for a range of clients across ecommerce and other sectors.
- Conduct technical SEO audits and work with developers to implement fixes and improvements.
- Lead keyword research, content gap analysis, competitor reviews, and search opportunity planning.
- Optimise on-site SEO including metadata, internal linking, site architecture, and content recommendations.
- Manage off-page SEO initiatives including digital PR, outreach, and backlink profile improvement.
- Monitor algorithm updates and proactively adapt client strategies.
- Ecommerce SEO
- Improve category, product, and faceted navigation performance for ecommerce clients.
- Support SEO considerations for migrations, new site launches, and platform changes.
- Work with merchandising and content teams to improve organic conversion performance.
- Analyse organic revenue trends, product visibility, and customer search behaviour.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Track and report on rankings, traffic, conversions, and revenue performance.
- Build clear, actionable monthly reports and communicate insights to clients.
- Use tools such as GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs/Semrush, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio to identify opportunities and measure success.
- Present recommendations and campaign updates confidently in client meetings.
- Client Management
- Manage day-to-day SEO relationships with multiple clients simultaneously.
- Translate technical SEO concepts into commercially focused recommendations.
- Support upselling opportunities and contribute to client retention and growth.
- Collaborate with account managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with content writers, designers, developers, and paid media specialists.
- Support junior team members through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to internal process improvements and agency best practices.
- Essential
- 3+ years' experience in SEO, ideally within a digital marketing agency.
- Strong understanding of technical, on-page, and off-page SEO.
- Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Proven experience working with ecommerce websites and CMS platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or BigCommerce.
- Strong analytical skills with confidence interpreting SEO and GA4 data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience using industry tools including: Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, or similar, Looker Studio.
