The Funding & Compliance team provides essential support with funding requirements and reporting for users of Tribal’s learner management systems, mainly EBS and Maytas. This support is usually delivered remotely to a range of education and training organisations, such as Local Authority Adult Community Learning teams, independent and employer-based training providers, and smaller further education colleges. Our aim is to deliver a high-quality, accurate, and responsive service. We strive to ensure our customers see the Funding & Compliance team as a trusted extension of their own organisation.

The Senior MIS Advisor supports learning providers in managing their learner data to ensure it meets all relevant funding body requirements. In addition to this, the role involves offering expert guidance on complex funding matters and providing insights that help organisations improve their processes and overall performance.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Support clients day-to-day, acting as the main contact for our local authority customers, giving advice and solving problems.
  • Make sure learner data and processes follow funding rules so organisations don’t risk losing money.
  • Handle complex issues and provide guidance on tricky funding or reporting problems.
  • Help customers use Tribal systems (like EBS/Maytas) more effectively, allowing the customer to improve processes.
  • Support and guide more junior team members.
  • Deliver training sessions, demos, and guidance to our customers.
  • Use systems and processes to log, monitor, and fix problems properly.
  • Keep up with changes in funding rules, software, and the education sector.
  • Produce training materials, templates, blogs, and webinars.
  • Help the team meet and maintain quality and security standards (ISO).

The skills you’ll have:

  • Experience of ILR (Individual Learner Records) and learner data management.
  • Understanding of the principles of DfE funding rules and compliance.
  • Confident stakeholder relationship building.

It would be great if you had:

  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Understand the compliance framework and funding rules of a range of provision in both devolved and non-devolved regions.
