The Product
EBS is a modular student information system (SIS) designed for further education, Higher Education and vocational training organisations to manage and streamline student data, operations, and engagement. It provides a single, cohesive view of an institution’s learners, staff, and processes, with real‑time reporting and customisable functionality due to the modular‑based design.
The Role
As an Account Director, you will play an important role in driving growth by identifying and upselling/cross selling opportunities within our existing customer base. You’ll also lead regular account meetings to build and maintain customer relationships, ensure ongoing and effective use of our EBS platform, and proactively address any challenges. Your efforts will be essential in supporting customer success and reducing churn by keeping clients engaged, informed, and confident in the value we deliver. The role will require you to travel approximately once per week to visit customers on site.
- Selling products to existing customers, meeting agreed revenue targets.
- Working with operations to drive lead‑generation and appointment‑setting campaigns that meet new and existing business goals.
- Collaborating with marketing and operations to ensure campaigns support pipeline growth and meet activity targets.
- Ensuring the territory team meets order and margin goals across all product and solution lines, maximising revenue from assigned accounts.
- Building and maintaining an accurate pipeline aligned to business plans.
- Produce accurate monthly forecasts and any required management reports.
- Identifying opportunities to promote the Tribal brand and attend events when needed.
- Maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of Tribal products, services, and solutions.
- Represent customer needs internally, ensuring Tribal solutions address real business challenges.
- Share market trends with Product teams to help prioritise development and maintain relevance in the Vocational Learning sector.
- Support market and product strategy development, contributing innovative solutions.
- Help customers prepare for change and adopt new strategies and solutions.
- Engage regularly with customer accounts to understand needs, support retention, and drive satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the wider sales team on bids, pre‑sales work, and events.
Experience
- Experience in a sales role relating to the education industry, ideally WBL, HE and/or FE.
- Strong selling skills.
- The ability to build strong relationships to ensure lasting customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge and experience of sales planning, specifically with software products and services.
- Extensive knowledge of product and market context.
- Knowledge of Student Information Systems or Student Software solutions.
