Role Overview

As our SEO Manager, you’ll take ownership of the agency’s SEO service offering, managing multiple client accounts across diverse industries. You’ll be responsible for developing strategies, implementing best practices, and ensuring outstanding performance for retail, D2C, and B2B clients. This role combines hands-on technical optimisation with client-facing responsibilities, making it ideal for an SEO professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead SEO strategy development for multiple client accounts across retail, D2C, and B2B sectors.
  • Act as the primary SEO point of contact, building strong client relationships and delivering clear, data-driven recommendations.
  • SEO Execution
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor benchmarking, and market analysis.
  • Deliver on-page, off-page, and technical SEO improvements tailored to client needs.
  • Manage technical audits, resolving issues around site architecture, indexing, crawlability, and speed.
  • Drive link-building and digital PR initiatives to enhance authority.
  • Work closely with content, PPC, social, and web development teams to align SEO strategies with broader marketing campaigns.
  • Advise on content strategies for retail/D2C e-commerce sites and B2B lead-generation websites.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Use tools such as GA4, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Looker Studio for monitoring and reporting.
  • Deliver regular performance reports and presentations to clients, highlighting KPIs, ROI, and actionable insights.
  • Leadership & Development
  • Support, mentor, and upskill junior SEO executives within the team.
  • Stay ahead of algorithm changes and industry trends to ensure our clients remain competitive.

Key Requirements

  • 4+ years’ proven SEO experience within an agency environment.
  • Strong track record of delivering measurable results for retail, D2C, and/or B2B clients.
  • Excellent understanding of technical SEO, content optimisation, and link-building.
  • Proficiency in SEO tools (GA4, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Moz, etc.).
  • Experience optimising across multiple CMS platforms (Shopify, WordPress, Magento, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Commercially minded with strong client-facing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced agency setting.
  • Experience with local SEO and e-commerce optimisation.
  • Understanding of CRO, UX, and how SEO integrates with paid channels.
  • Familiarity with structured data/schema markup.
  • Line management or mentoring experience.
