Swim School Instructor: George Watson’s College

Location: George Watson’s College, Edinburgh

Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time, part time, maximum of 10 hours per week

Salary: £26,301 – £29,351 (Based on 36.25 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). This equates to £6,138 – £6,851 per annum (Based on a working pattern of 10 hours per week – 44 weeks per year). In addition, a market pay supplement will apply which will bring the total hourly rate to £18.00 (to be confirmed depending upon experience and qualifications).

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, energetic and experienced Swimming Instructors to deliver lessons for our new swimming school programme at George Watson’s College. Instructors will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons over a 3-day period of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, delivering the Scottish Swimming learn to swim framework. There is also opportunity to teach Adult 1-1 lessons in the evenings and work additional hours delivering swim camps during the school holiday; this will be paid at a higher rate to include holiday pay.

Core hours will be 3.15pm – 6.30pm = 3.25 hrs per day

Working days available are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

Hours of work will be 10 hours per week, term time only (36 weeks plus professional learning days). The annual leave entitlement is seven weeks per year making a total of 44 weeks.
