Full-time (35 hours per week), fixed-term August 2026 – June 2027

Based at Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre, Largs, KA30 8RW. sportscotland is the national agency for sport in Scotland. Our vision is an active Scotland where everyone benefits from sport. Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre is the first UK residential sports centre of its kind - designed for inclusivity, and it has been inspiring sportspeople for more than 60 years.

Are you passionate about helping those who are keen to develop in sport? If so, this may be the role for you! sportscotland is looking for two enthusiastic and talented Sports Coaches to join our Schools & Education team at National Centre Inverclyde, who will deliver a range of activity sessions as part of our school residential programme.

You should have:

  • An HNC in Sports Coaching, Sports Studies or a relevant subject
  • Two National Governing Body Coaching Awards (Level 1) in a suitable discipline
  • A valid First Aid certificate

A qualification in the delivery of gymnastics, dance and movement would be desirable, although not essential. As a member of our delivery team, we are looking for individuals with practical experience of working in a sports and recreation facility or an outdoor adventure environment within the leisure industry. You should have experience in the design, delivery and evaluation of lesson plans appropriate to our customer’s needs. The ability and knowledge to deliver a multitude of different activities is necessary.
