The primary purpose of the Women's First Team Assistant Head Coach at Rangers is to support the Head Coach in the leadership, development, and management of the women's football team to achieve competitive excellence, with a particular focus on winning the Scottish Women's Premier League (SWPL) and other major competitions.
The Assistant Head Coach will contribute to the design, implementation, and execution of advanced training programs tailored to the exceptionally high demands and standards set at the football club. They will deliver as directed by the Head Coach, and support the creation of winning strategies and holistic player development plans. This role requires a commitment to promoting the values of sporting success, positive culture, and discipline within a diverse and dynamic environment.
In addition to on-field coaching, the Women's First Team Assistant Coach is responsible for the creation of agendas, meetings, and progress reports from the multi-disciplinary team of staff across the areas of performance (medical, analysis, sport science) in preparation for the Head Coach's leadership and strategic direction. They are a voice in the strategic approach to recruitment, identifying the needs of the team, and working with the analysis department to provide data-led insights into this area. Additionally, they are responsible for the management of the club's 'Loan Players', which includes the gathering of performance data and reports from loan clubs with a view to understanding the potential integration of these players into the first team environment as and when required.
