Location: Milngavie Community Library and Education Centre, Glasgow G62 8PN

Hours: Saturday 09:00-13:15, Occasional Cover for Friday 09:30-17:00

Role Requirements

Head over Heels Gymnastics Club (Milngavie) are looking to appoint a level 2 gymnastics coach to support the delivery of the Preschool and Recreational gymnastics classes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within a team to deliver preschool & recreational gymnastics sessions to a range of ages and ability levels
  • Plan, develop and deliver skill focused session plans to engage and improve gymnasts’ skill level
  • Ensure a safe and fun learning environment is provided for all gymnasts
  • Act as a positive role model to deliver the best possible experience for gymnasts
  • Identify and develop club volunteers, mentoring and supporting with coaching qualifications (where applicable)
  • Support with administration duties (where required)

Required Certification

  • UKCC Level 2 General or Artistic Gymnastics Qualification.
  • Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) is required for the post, applicants will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/Scheme checks
  • Experience and knowledge of recreational and preschool gymnastics
  • Experience of developing and delivering session plans to engage and aid with skill development
  • Motivated and innovative person who is passionate about working with children in a gymnastics environment
  • Ability to adapt and have a flexible approach
  • Experience of mentoring and supporting assistant coaches
