Hours: 17.5 hours per week. Contract type: Permanent. Pay details: The listed salary is for a full-time role. This will be pro-rata for part-time (£15,492.43 per annum).
What you’ll do
As a Health & Fitness Co-ordinator, you’ll be a part of an established Health & Fitness Team, reporting to the Fitness Team & Retention Manager. The Health and Fitness Co-ordinator is a strategic role in the development and promotion of health, wellbeing and fitness. As an integral member of the citywide health and fitness team and the localised facility management team you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, assisting in creating health and fitness retention strategies as well as managing, developing, and mentoring your gym instructor team and fitness class program.
Your key role is to ensure high standards of staff performance, assist with achieving income targets and member retention growth, and ensure safe and effective operational management of a fitness suite. You will also be expected to assist in the development of health and fitness in all spheres of business as appropriate. Your work will make a visible and lasting difference. This could be:
- Supporting our communities
- Creating cultural experiences
- Or working behind the scenes to make it all happen

- Educated to HND level or equivalent in a Health and Fitness or Sport Discipline
- Experience in the operation and development of a health and fitness programme with a customer-focused ethos
- Leadership and supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team of people
- Group Fitness Management Experience
