The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

Responsible to Glasgow University Women’s Basketball Club Committee.

Role Duration: 14th September 2026 - May 2026.

Location: The University of Glasgow, predominately: Stevenson Building University Avenue G12 8QQ.

Hours: 6 hours per week. Training (provisional) takes place on Mondays (08:00–09:30) and Thursdays (18:30–20:00), with BUCS fixtures held on Wednesdays (home or away).

The Second Team provides a competitive and supportive environment for student athletes, representing the University in BUCS 2A. Following promotion in the 2025/26 season, the team has continued to perform at a strong level and is focused on building further success. Fixtures take place on Wednesdays, alongside twice-weekly training sessions and access to the University’s excellent Strength & Conditioning facilities.

Training is designed to challenge players while remaining enjoyable, supporting individual development, improving fitness and basketball performance, and helping the team continue to progress.

What we’re looking for:

  • Friendly and approachable attitude with the motivation to take the club forward to even greater success.
  • Strong basketball knowledge.
  • Previous experience preparing and organising training sessions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

Candidates are able to commit to attend matches on Wednesdays and some weekends in addition to the weekly training sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organising training sessions and liaising with both the Club and Team Captains to develop solutions suitable for all our members.
  • Manage squad selection & matchday line‑ups.
  • Collaborate with staff, team captain & club committee.
