What is Fit-Baw? Fit-baw is an innovative care home exercise programme, improving the physical and social lives of residents across Scotland through the beautiful game. Last year we delivered almost 1,000 classes and are looking to continue to grow into 2026. Hence why we want to expand our team within our region, or also speak to interested individuals about a franchise in other parts of the country.
Role Purpose & Key Activities:
- Deliver our unique sessions to care home residents
- Help continue to build our strong reputation across Scotland as one of the top health & well-being programmes
- Build key relationships with residents, activity co‑ordinators and managers
Employment Setup:
- Coaches are self‑employed and subcontracted
- You will need to have your own insurance (we help set this up – low cost basic public liability insurance)
- You will need to have a PVG to work with vulnerable adults (if not on system, you’ll need to apply for one)
Person Specification:
- Background: have a passion for football with a playing or coaching background
- Must have a passion working with the residents and comfortable working in a care home environment
- Must have excellent availability midweek during the day
- Able to be flexible and adaptable as every home is unique
- Able to work on own
- Able to drive and have own car is essential
- Be very independent, reliable and organised with own schedule
