Forth Valley Disability Sport coordinator

Part-Time Temporary Post – Fixed until 31 st July 2027 initially

(With the opportunity to be extended depending on funding)

30 hours per week, additional hours and overtime by negotiation

Forth Valley Disability Sport are delighted to be advertising for the role of FVDS Coordinator.

The Forth Valley Disability Sport Coordinator role aims to coordinate, develop and deliver a wide range of high quality, physical activity and sport programmes or initiatives which are responsive to the needs of children, young people and adults with a physical, learning or sensory disability in the Forth Valley (FV) area. The successful candidate will work closely with a large number of partners in their role. Key partners will include Scottish Disability Sport, local authority partners in Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling as well as a wider range of stakeholders.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment.

Please note that FVDS are an independent charity, led by a Branch Leadership Team (BLT) of Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary, with a wider committee providing support and challenge around governance. FVDS have a close working relationship with our Scottish Disability Sport Regional Development Manager.
