Reporting to: Women's First Team Head Coach
Purpose
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic volunteer Strength & Conditioning Coach or Sports Science practitioner to join our Women's First Team environment. This is a development focused voluntary role, ideal for someone looking to gain hands on experience within a competitive football setting, build applied hours and work closely with a committed coaching team. You will play an important supporting role in enhancing player performance, physical development, and injury prevention, while also developing your own practical coaching and applied sports science skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and delivery of individual and small group gym-based strength programs
- Assist with delivering pre-training activation, warm-ups, and post training/match recovery sessions
- Contribute to the delivery of fitness testing and performance assessments
- Assist with monitoring player load and physical output, helping to track progress over time
- Work closely with coaching staff to align physical preparation with team objectives
- Help maintain accurate and organised performance records and data tracking
What we are looking for
- Studying towards or qualified in Sports Science, Strength & Conditioning, or a related discipline
- Strong interest in football performance and athlete development
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work within a team environment
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Availability for two evening sessions and Sunday fixtures
- Experience in team sports environments (playing, coaching or support roles)
- Exposure to gym-based training prescription or delivery
- Interest in performance analysis, load monitoring or athlete tracking tools
- Working towards accreditation (e.g. UKSCA, BASES)
