Dundee Men’s Football Club are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Coach to work with our 2nd, 3rd and 5th teams, currently competing in BUCS Scottish Tier 4, 5, and 6 respectively. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring or developing coach to gain valuable experience within a competitive university football environment and contribute to a growing club with ambitious players and strong team culture.

Availability Required

  • Monday evenings - training
  • Wednesday afternoons - BUCS fixtures
  • Friday evenings - occasional training sessions

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging training sessions tailored to varying ability levels
  • Support player development both individually and collectively
  • Organise and oversee drills, practices and matchday preparation
  • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to players
  • Ensure a safe and positive environment during all football activities
  • Promote teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship throughout the club
  • Communicate effectively with players and club committee members regarding schedules and club activities

Person Specification

  • Strong knowledge and passion for football
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and work positively with student athletes
  • Previous coaching or teaching experience is desirable
  • Relevant coaching qualifications are preferred but not essential
