Dundee Men’s Football Club are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Coach to work with our 2nd, 3rd and 5th teams, currently competing in BUCS Scottish Tier 4, 5, and 6 respectively. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring or developing coach to gain valuable experience within a competitive university football environment and contribute to a growing club with ambitious players and strong team culture.
Availability Required
- Monday evenings - training
- Wednesday afternoons - BUCS fixtures
- Friday evenings - occasional training sessions
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging training sessions tailored to varying ability levels
- Support player development both individually and collectively
- Organise and oversee drills, practices and matchday preparation
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to players
- Ensure a safe and positive environment during all football activities
- Promote teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship throughout the club
- Communicate effectively with players and club committee members regarding schedules and club activities
Person Specification
- Strong knowledge and passion for football
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and work positively with student athletes
- Previous coaching or teaching experience is desirable
- Relevant coaching qualifications are preferred but not essential
