Competitions & Events Officer: Scottish Volleyball

Contract type: Full-time, 2 years fixed term.

Salary: £24,570 – £28,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.

Location: Scottish Volleyball, 48 Pleasance, Edinburgh, EH8 9TJ. This role will be based at the designated office with potential of some agreed remote/hybrid working.

Reports to: Head of Development.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week.

Scottish Volleyball, in partnershipsportscotland, is seeking to recruit a Competitions & Events Officer to deliver on the strategic plan “We Are Volleyball” in communities around Scotland.

The successful candidate will share our passion and vision for the growth and development of volleyball in Scotland. The appointed person will be required to demonstrate a proven record of successfully working in competitive sports and a sound understanding of the Scottish sporting landscape. Experience of working within event planning or competition management is essential for this role. Skills also required include project delivery, IT, partnership working, planning, and excellent communication skills (spoken English is essential).

This post is initially offered on a two-year fixed-term contract. Subsequent funding for a continuation of the role will be based on external investment and performance review.
