We are currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team, who will ensure an effective financial and management accounting service.
As the Assistant Accountant, you will ensure accuracy and compliance with our internal PO procedures, setting up new suppliers, users, and budget codes, issuing all sales invoices and processing purchase invoices including following up on invoice approvals.
We are looking for someone with experience in an accounting or finance environment, as at sportscotland you will be responsible for day-to-day and monthly credit control, being the first point of contact for all financial queries and managing the shared finance inboxes.
You will offer support to the broader Finance team, contributing to various tasks and projects as needed. Additionally, you will provide assistance with reconciliations and prepare supporting documentation for year-end activities, including responding to external auditor requests related to the Annual Accounts.
Ideally you will be part-qualified with an accounting qualification, or with equivalent relevant experience.
* Please note successful candidates will be appointed at the entry point of the salary band.
