Triangle Recruitment is looking to recruit a Yard Operative for a Busy Brick factory in Chailey .Working hours from 6:45 – 17:30 ,Monday to Thursday on an ongoing basis.
The role will include Working in a busy Stock Yard Warehouse Environment to move Finished Goods, Raw Materials and Loading and Unloading Vehicles. This is a dual role, to include picking and Packing of Finished Goods readying for Dispatch. During busy periods, support may need to be given in the Stock Yard.
- A certified counterbalance FLT driver is advantageous.
Immediate start available for suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Constructing brick firing clamps (a very large and carefully selected stack of bricks)
- Manually creating the base layers of bricks, prior to being finished using specialist equipment
- Hand sorting fired bricks into packs
- Adhering to health & safety, quality and environmental systems
- Creating and maintaining the highest standards of 5Ss housekeeping and environmental management
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous labour intensive role
- High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
- Excellent timekeeping, attendance and flexibility
- Self-motivated
- Numerate & literate.
- Team working attitude.
- Ability to also work alone.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team or on your own.
- Ability to learn to operate key manufacturing and mobile plant.
- Willingness to undergo further training and development.
- Driving License
Desirable qualifications & experience:
- Experience of working in a continuous improvement environment.
- A certified counterbalance FLT driver is advantageous.
- A recognised up-skill.
