Triangle Recruitment is working in partnership with a renowned Logistics and Warehousing organisation to find a Warehouse Material Scheduler, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer-focused individual with experience in Warehouse Material Scheduling to join our fast-paced operation.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Material Planner / Scheduler to join a busy logistics and warehouse operation supporting an automotive customer. This role focuses on ensuring the right parts are available at the right time to support warehouse, sequencing, and customer delivery requirements. You will work closely with suppliers, customers, transport, warehouse, and operational teams to help maintain clear visibility, reduce shortages, and keep the plan on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer demand, schedules, forecasts, and daily changes.
- Check material availability and highlight any shortages, risks, or delays.
- Use Excel confidently to analyse stock, demand, shortages, delivery performance, and planning actions.
- Maintain clear and accurate planning information in SAP and/or similar ERP/MRP systems.
- Use system reports and spreadsheets to identify issues, spot trends, and support decision-making.
- Follow up with suppliers, customers, transport, warehouse, and internal teams to help resolve issues.
- Support daily planning and operational reviews with clear updates, accurate data, and practical actions.
- Work with warehouse and sequencing teams to align stock availability, picking priorities, and delivery requirements.
- Help improve planning accuracy, stock visibility, process control, and communication across the operation.
- Escalate risks early where material availability, delivery performance, or system accuracy may affect the plan.
- Support updates and improvements to key planning data, such as part numbers, pack quantities, suppliers, lead times, stock levels, and locations.
What We Are Looking For
We are more interested in finding the right person than someone who ticks every box. You may already have experience in material planning, scheduling, logistics, warehousing, supply chain, production control, stock control, customer service, or transport coordination. The ideal person will be:
- Good with Excel, spreadsheets, and working with operational data.
- Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure.
- Comfortable working with systems, reports, and changing priorities.
- Confident communicating with different people and following actions through.
- Able to spot problems early and ask the right questions.
- Proactive, curious, and willing to learn.
- Practical, hands-on, and focused on getting the right outcome.
- Someone who wants to improve how things are done rather than just work around problems.
Useful Experience
Experience in any of the following would be helpful, but full training and support can be provided for the right person:
- Good working knowledge of Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, lookups, and analysing data.
- Material planning, scheduling, logistics, warehouse planning, or stock control.
- SAP or another ERP/MRP system.
- System reporting and data checking.
- Supplier follow-up, customer schedules, transport planning, or delivery coordination.
- Automotive, sequencing, JIT/JIS, warehouse, or production logistics environments.
What Good Looks Like
Success in this role means material risks are visible early, actions are followed up, communication is clear, and the wider team has confidence in the plan. We are looking for someone who can grow into the role, build strong knowledge, and become a key part of a controlled, proactive, and well-organised planning process.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
The role will come with a salary of £40K plus 5% shift, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Work Location: In person
Benefits: Company pension, on-site parking
