Material Scheduler Triangle Recruitment is working in partnership with a renowned Logistics and Warehousing organisation. We are looking for a Warehouse Material Scheduler, working Monday to Friday rotating, 06.00-14.00/14.00-22.00. This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer-focused individual with experience in Warehouse Material Scheduling to join our fast-paced operation. You will have the chance to take real ownership of your role, bring fresh ideas to the table, and make a genuine impact in a forward-thinking logistics environment.
Joining the team as a Warehouse Material Scheduler, you will be responsible for your own short-term and mid-term materials planning to ensure right-part, right-quantity, right-time and when required, right-sequence availability for an OEM assembly schedule. Balance supplier schedules, transport, and in-plant buffers to protect line uptime with minimal inventory.
Working hours: Monday to Friday rotating, 06.00-14.00/14.00-22.00
Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Material Scheduler:
- Convert OEM EDI (call-offs, forecasts) into executable supplier schedules and in-house sequencing plans.
- Manage supplier performance with regular reviews to ensure optimized inventory and delivery schedules.
- Maintain JIT/JIS sequencing parameters (lead times, transit times, packaging, min/max, buffers, sequence windows).
- Issue ASNs and monitor inbound adherence; escalate risk and trigger expedites within premium-freight rules.
- Run daily SIOP/S&OE cadence (plan vs. actual, demand changes, constraints, recovery plans).
- Co-ordinate with Warehouse/Sequencing to align kitting lanes, pitch sizes, and slotting to sequence pattern.
- Own MMOG/LE planning elements (risk, capacity checks, contingency, supplier performance).
- Maintain master data (BOM effects, pack sizes, calendars, holidays, rounding, safety days).
- Achieve KPIs: 98% Schedule attainment (plan vs. issued sequence), maintain zero material-related line-stoppages, control premium freight within target spend, manage Inventory levels within defined turns/days of supply targets, ensure 99% ASN/EDI accuracy.
- Support customer audits and IATF-aligned processes (traceability, change control for planning).
- Ensure supply chain schedules are managed to support level loading of dock utilization.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3-5 years in automotive materials planning (JIT/JIS/ILVS) or Tier-1 scheduling required.
- Strong EDI & MRP skills; knowledge of MMOG/LE preferred.
- APICS/ASCM CPIM/CLTD a plus.
- ERP/MRP (SAP/D365/Epicor), WMS, sequencing software; EDI; transport portals; PFEP database; control room dashboards.
- Must have a Can Do Attitude and a desire to improve.
- Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
- PC literate including good working knowledge of MS packages and WMS.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Role
The role will come with a salary of £40K plus 5% shift, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
