Health and Safety Lead in Bristol

Triangle Recruitment, working in Partnership with Ibstock Clay Division, are looking to a Recruit a Health and Safety Lead, on an initial 3 month contract. The Health and Safety Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring a safe working environment across the organisation. The Health and Safety Lead will work closely with various departments to promote safety awareness aimed at minimising workplace hazards.

Duties

• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Issue Permits to Contractors onsite
• Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents.
• Conduct Contractor Audits
• Work as part of a team to Monitor the effectiveness of safety initiatives and recommend improvements as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities, incidents, and training sessions.
• Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding safety concerns or suggestions.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in legislation related to workplace safety.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards. (NEBOSH or IOSH Qualified)
• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively.
• Experience in conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying issues contributing to safety incidents.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across various teams.
