Temporary 12-Week Role – Busy Period Support
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Goods In & Dispatch Coordinator to join our team on a temporary basis for 12 weeks .
This role has been created to provide additional support during a busy period , helping to manage increased volumes across goods in, dispatch, transport and customer service. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring deliveries are planned and coordinated efficiently and that the operation continues to run smoothly during this particularly busy time.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transport operations and logistics , with experience in materials handling and customer service. This is a fast-paced role with an element of customer-facing communication, so the ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently is essential.
Key Objectives
Optimise the transportation of Ibstock products by planning and scheduling deliveries within agreed service levels and in the most efficient way possible.
Lead the quarterly stock take of finished goods.
Provide delivery scheduling information to customers and internal Customer Service teams.
Ensure load scheduling software is accurate and kept up to date.
Print and organise daily schedules for the loading team.
Book in drivers and provide drawings where necessary.
Proactively support a one-team approach with the Customer Service team, other commercial support functions and Production.
Manage goods-in receipting.
Support other operational leaders onsite with day-to-day duties as required.
Essential Skills & Experience
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Previous experience working as a Goods In/Out Coordinator or Administrator.
Strong time management skills.
