Main duties of the job
The post-holder will undertake the full range of duties and responsibilities associated with a Salaried GP working within primary care. This will include providing face-to-face, telephone and online consultations for patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions; making appropriate clinical assessments, diagnoses and management plans; prescribing safely and effectively; and referring patients to secondary or community care services where appropriate. Minimal home visits. The role will also involve maintaining accurate and contemporaneous clinical records and contributing to the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred care. The post-holder will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and participate in clinical meetings, safeguarding, quality improvement, and clinical governance activities in line with practice and NHS standards.
