Commercial Accountant – 6-month FTC – Redruth – £45,000 FTE + 10% Completion Bonus
Trial Balance are working with a well-backed, forward-thinking organisation in Cornwall to recruit a Commercial Accountant on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on role supporting the finance team during a key systems implementation, offering broad exposure across transactional finance, month-end and financial reporting. Joining a collaborative and close-knit finance team, you’ll take ownership across a broad range of accounting activities. This is a varied role that will suit someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting involved at all levels.
Key Areas of Responsibility- Supporting month-end close, reconciliations and management accounts
- Overseeing purchase ledger and transactional finance processes
- Assisting with internal and external financial reporting
- Supporting preparation of statutory accounts and technical papers
- Reviewing VAT returns and supporting tax compliance
- Providing ad-hoc support across the team as required
You’ll also have regular exposure to senior stakeholders including the Head of Finance, CFO and external advisors.
QualificationsYou’ll ideally be AAT qualified and possess at least 3 years’ accounting experience gained at a similar level. You will bring strong Excel and systems skills alongside a pro-active and hands-on approach. Comfortable working in a dynamic, site-based environment, you’ll be adaptable, detail-oriented and confident supporting across all areas of finance.
