Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to be assisting an established and highly regarded Cornish business with the recruitment of a Temporary Finance Manager. This is an immediate requirement for an experienced finance professional who can step into a broad, hands-on role and provide support to a busy finance function for an initial fixed-term assignment.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll oversee the day-to-day finance operation whilst ensuring accurate reporting and providing commercial insight across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Production of monthly management accounts with supporting commentary
- Cashflow forecasting and monitoring
- Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
- Weekly KPI reporting and financial performance analysis
- Supporting senior management with financial information and business decisions
- Presenting financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Assisting with budgeting and planning cycles
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting
- Supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day financial management
The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced Management Accountant, Finance Manager or Finance Business Partner with strong management accounting skills. Applicants may be qualified (ACCA/CIMA), part-qualified or qualified by experience. Previous experience of working in a fast-paced commercial environment would be highly advantageous, together with strong Excel and systems skills. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, work independently and quickly become a trusted member of the finance team. The assignment is expected to run for several months and will be based predominantly on-site in Penryn.
