Part time Management Accountant and Payroll Assistant – Roche – £35-40,000 FTE
Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been reassigned by our long-standing client, a well-established and highly successful services business based in Roche and operating across multiple locations in Cornwall. The company has experienced sustained growth over recent years and are now undergoing a period of positive change, which includes the development of the finance function.
We have been engaged to source an experienced part time Management Accountant. This is a permanent role that will require the successful candidate to work the equivalent of 3 days per week. The company is entirely flexible as to how these hours will be completed and this can be arranged to suit the successful candidate (with some consideration given to year end and deadlines etc.).
The role works as part of a small but developing finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller and supported by a small finance team, the core focus of the role will be the production of accurate and comprehensive management accounts. Key responsibilities to includes:
– Preparation and production of management accounts for presentation to FC and senior management team with MA journals
– Bank reconciliations
– Administration of the payroll function
– Cash flow reporting
– Stock accounting
– Performance analysis against KPIs
– Assist with system improvements and function streamlining
– Assist with year end procedures
The perfect candidate: Our client is not concerned by formal qualification and has wisely focussed on career experience. Therefore, the role is open to experienced AAT, part/fully professionally qualified or candidates who consider themselves to be QBE. The business is keen to promote maximum efficiency from their IT systems and the successful candidate should possess strong IT skills. This is a role that operates both in and out of the finance office and the management accountant is likely to be a well-known face within the business. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and influence non-finance colleagues on accounting policy is essential. This is an energetic and lively team which would be very well suited to an outgoing and commercial astute management accountant.
