The opportunity
Driven by a highly experienced tier-one leadership team, the ManufacturingOperationsDirector will join a likeminded business where quality, customer satisfaction and employee wellbeing lie at the heart ofeverythingthey do. The candidate that we’re searching for will lead the entire manufacturing process for a highlysuccessfuldivision, maintaining superb engineering and logistical standards, as well as leading andinfluencinga highly experienced and motivated team. Core focus of the role to include:
- Plan, manage and execute all aspects of manufacturing controls to ensureexceptionalefficiencythat meets rigorous customer demands
- Design, implement and develop ongoing process and cost control efficiencies assuming complete P&L responsibility
- Manage all aspects of value stream activities ensuring strict adherence with high quality product standards that meet strict regulatory requirements
- Lead, develop and motivate a large team of direct and indirect reports
- Ensure that sound H&S policy and practice resonates throughout the site
- Work closely with sales, marketing and customer support colleagues, acting as a senior ambassador to major clients
- Analysis of tooling effectiveness and pioneering material waste reduction strategy
- Take Lead with outgoing commentary related to site performance, budgets, forecasts and cost controls are concerned
- Undertake a degree on national and international travel where required
The person we’re searching for
A highly experienced manufacturing and/or engineering professional with at least three year of recently gained experience in asimilarposition. Key skills and experience to include:
- A business or engineering degree
- A dynamic, people orientated, change agent, with a passion for driving and supporting teams, providing mentorship and developing people
- Superb manufacturing and production expertise with a strong knowledge of lean tooling, equipment, mechanics and value streams
- Exceptional commercial awareness
- A sound understanding of P&L, budgets, forecasting and cost controls
- Strong IT aptitude (MS Office and bespoke digital tools)
The role
This is a full time, permanent position operating from our clients’site in mid Cornwall. Base salary circa £115,000+ Exceptional bonus scheme + enhanced benefits package + relocation support (where required).
