As Accounts Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparing VAT returns and completing bookkeeping assignments
- Supporting the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
- Working with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
- Building positive relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
- Working closely with senior colleagues to deliver a high standard of client service
The successful Accounts Assistant candidate will:
- Already have experience working within an accountancy practice and be keen to continue developing their technical knowledge.
- You’ll ideally be AAT qualified or studying towards a professional qualification, although candidates with strong practical experience will also be considered.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail and a positive attitude will all be important in this role.
